Dark fiber in Riga: your own strand of glass
Point-to-point fiber across our Riga metro footprint. Take a dark strand and light it yourself, or order a lit wavelength and let us run the optics.
Why dark fiber
All the capacity
A dedicated strand carries whatever your equipment can push: upgrade speeds without touching the contract.
Full control
Your optics, your protocols, your encryption. Nothing shared, nothing inspected.
Predictable latency
Direct glass between two points beats any routed service for latency and jitter.
DC on the route
Terminate the link in our Riga data centre and land next to your servers and backups.
What you can order
- Dark fiber pair between two points in the Riga metro area
- Lit service on our DWDM equipment when you prefer managed optics
- Termination in our Tier 3+ data centre
- Cross-connects to carriers present at our site
- SLA with repair times and route documentation
- Site survey before you commit
Pricing depends on the route: request a quote with your two endpoints.
How it works
- 1
Route check
You give us the two endpoints; we verify the path on our footprint and survey the buildings.
- 2
Offer and SLA
You get a route plan, a monthly price and repair time commitments.
- 3
Delivery
We splice, test with an OTDR report and hand over a documented link.
Our own Tier 3+ data centre in Riga
Your services run on hardware we own and operate in Latvia, under EU jurisdiction. A second live region in the Netherlands, Dubai planned for 2026.
- N+1 redundant power and cooling
- Own BGP network with redundant uplinks
- 24/7 on-site engineers
- GDPR and EU data residency
Dark fiber questions
What is the difference between dark and lit fiber?
Dark fiber is a raw strand you light with your own equipment, so you control the protocols, encryption and speeds. A lit service runs on our DWDM optics and is delivered as an Ethernet port at each end.
Which areas does your dark fiber network cover?
Our footprint covers the Riga metro area. Send us the two endpoints and we confirm the route within a few days, then prepare a quote with a monthly price and an SLA.
What speeds can a dark fiber pair carry?
Whatever your optics support: the strand itself is not the limit. With DWDM one pair carries many independent wavelengths, so you can raise speeds without changing the contract.
What happens if the fiber is cut?
The SLA defines repair times and our own team handles the splicing. For critical links we offer a second, physically separate route, so a single cut never stops your traffic.
How much does dark fiber cost in Riga?
Pricing depends on the route, so there is no fixed price list. Send the two endpoints and you get an offer with a monthly price, an SLA and repair time commitments. We survey the route before you sign anything.
Can the fiber terminate in your data centre?
Yes, you can land the link in our Tier 3+ data centre in Riga, right next to your servers and backups. Cross-connects to the carriers present at our site are available on the spot.
Do I need my own equipment for dark fiber?
For a dark strand, yes: your optics light the fiber and you choose the protocols and encryption. If you prefer not to run optics, order a lit service on our DWDM and get an Ethernet port at each end.
How is a dark fiber link delivered and tested?
We check the route on our footprint and survey the buildings, then splice the fiber and test it with an OTDR report. You receive a documented link with a route plan and an SLA.
