Fortinet

Why buy Fortinet through us

Right SKU the first time

Fortinet licensing is a maze of bundles. We size the model and subscription level to your real traffic, not to a catalog page.

Local paperwork

EUR invoices from a Latvian company, with renewals tracked so protection never lapses.

Not just a reseller

The same team deploys, migrates and manages FortiGates, so advice comes from practice.

Renewals handled

We warn you before subscriptions expire and prepare the renewal quote in advance.

What we license

  • FortiGate firewalls: hardware and virtual
  • FortiGuard security subscription bundles
  • FortiAnalyzer for logging and reporting
  • FortiManager for multi-device management
  • FortiClient endpoint licenses
  • Renewal tracking for existing contracts

Fortinet pricing depends on model and bundle: send your device list or target sizing for a quote.

Fortinet licensing questions

Can you renew Fortinet licenses we bought elsewhere?

Yes. Send us the serial numbers of your devices and we prepare renewal quotes, usually beating the previous pricing. You do not have to change hardware or reconfigure anything: a renewal simply extends the subscriptions on the FortiGates you already own, and your policies and settings stay untouched. It also does not matter who sold the original licenses. Once the renewal is done, we record your expiry dates and track them for you, so protection never lapses because someone forgot a date. If you are not sure which serials are relevant, write to support and we will help you collect the list.

Which FortiGuard bundle do we need?

It depends on what the firewall must actually do. Basic threat protection covers the essentials, web filtering controls what users can open, sandboxing inspects suspicious files, and SD-WAN features matter if you run multiple links or sites. Instead of starting from a catalog page, we start from your side: which of these features you really use today and which you realistically plan to switch on. Then we map that list to the cheapest bundle that covers it, so you never pay for services nobody has enabled. If your needs change later, the bundle can be revisited at the next renewal, which is often the cheapest moment to adjust.

Do you sell FortiGate hardware too?

Yes. We supply FortiGate appliances together with the subscriptions they need, so the hardware and its security services arrive as one order instead of two separate purchases you have to reconcile. For cloud deployments we license virtual FortiGates, which makes sense when there is no physical site to put a box in. Everything is billed on one EUR invoice from a Latvian company, which keeps accounting simple. Before anything is ordered we go through the sizing step, checking throughput, users and features, so the appliance you buy matches your real traffic rather than a guess. If you want, the same engineers can afterwards deploy what was delivered.

Can you also run the firewall for us?

Yes, that is our managed Fortinet firewall service. It covers the full lifecycle: initial deployment, ongoing policy management when your rules need to change, regular updates and continuous monitoring. The work is done by the same engineers who sized your licenses, so nobody has to re-learn your environment from scratch when something needs attention. This suits teams that have no dedicated firewall specialist, or that simply do not want to spend internal time on rule changes and maintenance. You keep full visibility of what runs on your firewall, and nothing stops you from taking administration back in-house later. Write to support describing your setup and we will outline what managing it would involve.

How much does a Fortinet license cost?

There is no flat list price, because the cost depends on which FortiGate model you run and which subscription bundle and term you choose. The same firewall can be cheap or expensive depending on the services attached to it, which is why quoting from a generic table would mislead you. To get a real number, send us your device list if you already own hardware, or your target sizing, meaning expected throughput, number of users and required features, if you are starting fresh. You then receive a clear quote that states the license terms and the renewal dates, so you can compare offers and budget for the following years without surprises.

What happens when a FortiGuard subscription expires?

The firewall itself keeps working, but the security services attached to it stop receiving updates. Threat signatures freeze at the last downloaded version, web filtering categories go stale, and every new threat that appears after the expiry date passes unrecognized. In practice the protection quietly degrades day by day, which is more dangerous than an outright failure because nothing visibly breaks. That is why renewal tracking is part of our service: we record your expiry dates, warn you well before a subscription runs out and prepare the renewal quote in advance, so the decision is made calmly rather than after a lapse has already opened a gap.

Are you an authorized Fortinet partner?

Yes. CloudHosting is an authorized Fortinet partner based in Latvia, invoicing in EUR. For you that means the licenses come through the official channel and are registered to your own Fortinet account, so support and renewals work exactly as the vendor intends. It also means the paperwork is local: a Latvian company on the invoice instead of a foreign intermediary. What makes us different from a pure reseller is that the same team also deploys, migrates and manages FortiGates every day, so when we recommend a model or a bundle, the advice comes from operating this equipment in practice, not from reading a price list.

Do we need FortiAnalyzer or FortiManager?

They solve two different problems, and many customers need neither. FortiAnalyzer adds centralized logging and reporting: it collects what your FortiGates see, keeps the history and turns it into reports, which becomes valuable when you face audits, compliance requirements or need to reconstruct an incident after the fact. FortiManager is about administration: it pays off once you run several FortiGate devices and want to push policies and changes from one console instead of logging into each unit. If a single small FortiGate covers your needs, we will honestly tell you to skip both and spend nothing extra. The sizing step is where we look at this together.
