The Latvian hosting company that runs its own data centre

CloudHosting SIA is a Latvian IT infrastructure provider, registered in the Latvian Register of Enterprises on 3 February 2016 under number 40103966259, with its office and data centre at Bērzaunes iela 1 in Riga. The company runs that data centre and its own network, AS58269, itself and sells what runs on them: web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, server colocation, domains, SSL certificates and company IT infrastructure with support. Clients are companies and developers all over the world, from a single VPS to full racks. Contracts are with CloudHosting SIA under Latvian law and invoices are in EUR, so both the provider and the data stay inside the EU.

CloudHosting SIA was registered in Riga on 3 February 2016 and has provided hosting under the same name and in the same city ever since, ten years this year. It started small, with domain registration, shared hosting and a few virtual servers for local businesses. Instead of renting capacity from larger providers, the company invested step by step in its own hardware, its own network and finally a data centre it runs itself. For you that history is a practical signal: when you pick a long-term home for a website or a server, a provider that has worked continuously for a decade is a safer bet than a new name.

Yes: CloudHosting runs the Tier 3+ data centre at Bērzaunes iela 1 in Riga itself and rents no racks from another operator. Our own team buys, racks and maintains the hardware. Power and cooling are built N+1, with UPS and a diesel generator behind the power, so at least one spare unit is always ready to take over when a component fails or is serviced. The site is carrier-neutral, and our network, AS58269, reaches it over redundant uplinks, so a problem at one carrier does not cut your server off. Tier 3+ describes the engineering design; it is not a certificate, and we do not present it as one.

The CloudHosting data centre in Riga is guarded, and we do not admit visitors to it: only a limited number of our own specialists have access. Colocation clients bring their equipment to our office at the same address, Bērzaunes iela 1, hand it over, and our engineers install and connect it in the rack. The same engineers act as your hands on site afterwards, so you never need to go in yourself. Redundancy is part of the design: N+1 power with UPS and a diesel generator, N+1 cooling and two uplinks. We do not publish further detail about physical security, because a data centre is safer when fewer people know how it is protected.

CloudHosting has two live regions: Riga, Latvia (RIX1), in the data centre we run ourselves, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands (NL1), where the servers and IP addresses are ours and the building belongs to another operator. Dubai (DXB1) is available on request. Place the server close to your audience: Riga suits users in Latvia, the Baltics and the Nordics, Amsterdam suits Western Europe and the UK. Both regions are inside the EU, so your data stays under EU jurisdiction and GDPR either way. Plans, prices and the client panel are the same in both regions, and support can move a server from one to the other later.

CloudHosting support is run by the engineers who operate the infrastructure: monitoring and incident response work 24/7, and engineers answer on working days from 9:00 to 17:00 Riga time, in English, Latvian and Russian. There is no outsourced first line and nobody reads from a script, so the person who picks up your ticket can reach your server, read the logs and fix the cause. Outside working hours the systems keep watching, and anything that takes the infrastructure down is handled as an incident. CloudHosting serves companies and developers all over the world, from a single VPS to full racks: online stores, software and SaaS firms, manufacturers, clinics and service companies. We do not publish a client list: most clients prefer to stay unnamed, and we name nobody without consent. The client stories on our site are typical examples, not named projects. CloudHosting SIA is a Fortinet authorised partner with the right to sell, and a Microsoft partner. We supply FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet licences through the official channel and can configure and run them for you; as a Microsoft partner we supply Windows Server, RDS and Microsoft 365 licences, invoiced in euro together with your servers. We also deliver servers and network equipment from the major hardware brands, but we have no partner agreements with those manufacturers and do not claim any.
