About this server

It comes with 256 GB DDR4 of memory, enough headroom to keep databases, caches and application processes on fast RAM instead of swap.

Storage is 2 × 3.84 TB U.2 NVMe: NVMe flash keeps IOPS high and latency low, which is what busy databases and heavy websites feel first.

The server lives in our Latvia site with a 1 Gbps · 30 TB connection, under EU jurisdiction, with IPMI remote management and our engineers next to the racks.

Extra SSD, HDD or NVMe storage and additional IP addresses can be added at order time; see the add-on options on the dedicated servers page.

Dedicated server questions

How much does a dedicated server cost in Latvia?

CloudHosting dedicated servers start at 130.05 EUR a month without VAT: that is the Dedicated Start configuration in Riga on a 12-month term, 153.00 EUR month to month. Shorter terms cost more per month: the discounts against the monthly base price are 5% for 3 months, 10% for 6 and 15% for 12. On a 1-month term the first invoice also carries a one-time setup fee equal to one monthly base price; on 3, 6 and 12-month terms there is no setup fee. Latvian VAT of 21% is added where it applies. The exact figure depends on the configuration you pick, so use the catalogue filters and the billing period switch to see the real total, with or without VAT, before you order.

What is the difference between a dedicated server and a VPS?

A CloudHosting dedicated server is an entire physical machine reserved for one customer, while a VPS is a virtual slice of a shared host. On a dedicated server every core, all the RAM and the full disk bandwidth are yours, with no hypervisor in between. In practice that means no noisy neighbours can spike your latency or steal IOPS, so performance stays flat around the clock, which busy databases and high-traffic projects feel first. You can even run your own hypervisor on it and slice it yourself. A VPS is usually enough for smaller workloads and costs less; our dedicated servers start at 130.05 EUR a month on a 12-month term in Riga and Amsterdam, each with a 1 Gbit/s port and 30 TB of traffic.

How fast is a dedicated server delivered?

CloudHosting usually hands over catalogue dedicated servers within 1 to 2 business days. During that window the machine is racked, tested and provisioned with the operating system you selected at order, and you receive the access credentials once it is live. Custom builds take longer because they depend on parts availability: we confirm what is in stock, source anything missing and quote a firm delivery date in the offer, so you know the timeline before you commit. If your project has a hard deadline, mention it when ordering or write to support first, and we will tell you honestly whether the configuration can be ready in time.

Where are your dedicated servers located?

CloudHosting dedicated servers stand in two EU locations: the Tier 3+ data centre it runs itself in Riga, Latvia (RIX1), with 9 catalogue configurations, and its second site in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (NL1), with 3. Both are under EU jurisdiction, so your data stays subject to European law. Riga is the natural choice for the Baltics and nearby markets, while the Dutch site suits projects with an audience in Western Europe. Every catalogue server includes a 1 Gbit/s port with 30 TB of monthly traffic. The catalogue can be filtered by location before you order, and if you need another region, Dubai (DXB1) is available on request: write to us before ordering.

What does the setup fee cover?

CloudHosting charges a one-time setup fee for a dedicated server only on a 1-month term, equal to one monthly base price; on 3, 6 and 12-month terms there is none. The fee covers assembly, burn-in testing, OS installation and network setup. Unlike a virtual machine, a dedicated server involves physical work: the chassis is assembled to your configuration, then stress tested so that weak components fail on our bench rather than under your production load. After that we install the operating system you chose and configure the network side, including your IP addresses, so the machine is ready to use at handover. The fee is charged once at order, never repeats on renewal, and everything else on the invoice is monthly.

Does the 14-day money-back guarantee apply to dedicated servers?

The CloudHosting 14-day refund does not apply to dedicated server rental: under our terms it is one of two exceptions, together with domain registration. Otherwise a cancelled service is refunded within 14 days of paying the invoice, but the machine is assembled, tested and reserved for you from day one, so the rental cannot be undone the way a virtual service can. The setup fee is a one-time charge at order and is not refundable either. VPS and web hosting are covered by the 14-day refund, so if you are unsure a dedicated server is the right fit, describe the workload to us before ordering, or start on a VPS and move later.

Can I upgrade RAM or disks later?

CloudHosting can fit extra memory or additional SSD, HDD and NVMe drives into the dedicated server you already rent, as long as its platform has free slots. Write to support with what you need: we check the free slots on your specific server and confirm the monthly price of the add-on before anything changes. The physical installation happens during a maintenance window agreed with you in advance, so you decide when the short interruption suits your project best, and the downtime is usually a matter of minutes. If your particular platform has no room left, we will say so honestly and suggest a configuration that fits your growth instead.

Do I get remote management access?

CloudHosting includes IPMI or an equivalent remote console with most of its dedicated servers. It works below the operating system, so even when the OS does not boot or the network configuration is broken you can still open the console, power the machine off and on, mount an installation image and reinstall or recover the system yourself, without opening a ticket or waiting for anyone. That matters most during risky changes, when one mistake could otherwise cut you off from the machine. On the few models that lack such a console our team performs reinstalls for you on request. If remote management is critical for you, ask support before ordering and we will confirm what a specific model offers.

Can I bring my own hardware instead?

CloudHosting also hosts servers you already own: colocation in its Riga data centre costs 40.00 EUR a month per 1U rack server or tower server, plus electricity by meter. Your machines go into the same Tier 3+ racks, with the same network and our engineers available as remote hands. Colocation makes sense when you already own good hardware, or when licensed software is tied to a specific physical machine, but you no longer want to worry about power, cooling and connectivity yourself. When something needs a reboot or a component swap, the people next to the racks handle it. Write to us with what you plan to install and we will come back with a colocation quote.

Do you have dedicated servers with a 10 Gbit/s port?

CloudHosting sells ready 10 Gbps unmetered dedicated servers in its Amsterdam catalogue, from 1372.75 EUR a month on a 12-month term (1615.00 EUR month to month). Those six configurations run AMD EPYC or Intel Xeon with DDR5 and NVMe, each on its own full-duplex 10 Gbit/s port with no traffic cap and no setup fee. The servers on this page come with a standard 1 Gbit/s port and 30 TB of traffic a month. In Riga, 10 Gbit/s and more is arranged on request, for example for a larger project or for colocation: describe the traffic you expect and we will quote the port and the transit together.

Can I run Windows Server on a dedicated server?

CloudHosting installs Windows Server on a dedicated server on request, but the licence is never included in the server price: you either buy it from us or use your own key. Any current Linux distribution, such as Ubuntu LTS, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux, is installed free of charge before handover. Mention the operating system and, for Windows, how you want to license it in the order notes or to support, so the machine arrives ready. Because the hardware is entirely yours to use, you can also run your own hypervisor and license guest systems as your vendor requires; our engineers help over a ticket whenever you need a reinstall.

What support comes with a dedicated server?

CloudHosting runs monitoring and incident response 24/7, and its engineers answer requests on working days from 9:00 to 17:00 Riga time, in English, Latvian and Russian. The hardware side is ours: if a disk, a power supply or another component fails, we arrange the replacement, and in Riga our engineers work next to the racks, so there is no partner to wait for. The operating system and the software on the server are yours to administer with full root access, unless you hand them to our IT support team under a separate agreement. Requests go through tickets in the client area, by email or by phone, and the same people read the whole thread whichever language you write in.
